I’m a Certified Italian Language Teacher born in Milano. I’m a language enthusiast and the founder of Elisa’s Italian School.
I am passionate about Linguistics and what happens in our minds when we learn a language.
I have been teaching Italian to hundreds of students with a unique teaching method. But I noticed quite soon in my teaching career, how difficult it was for students to pronounce certain sounds.
They were studying the grammar, memorising the vocabolary and putting lots of effort into Italian, but they kept making the same mistakes over and over again when pronouncing words.
Trust me when I say that some Italian words, if mispronounced, can have a complete different meaning!
I strongly believe that pronunciation should not be underrated when studying a language as it is fundamental to communicate effectively.

WHAT REGIONAL PRONUNCIATION IS TAUGHT IN THE COURSE?
In this course you will learn the rules of Standard Italian Pronunciation, which is the pronunciation you hear in Italian TV, movies, radio and mass media. However, throughout the course we will mention some regional varieties and compare their features with Standard Italian Pronunciation. In this course you will not learn Italian dialects.
